Stop Selling Your Past
Future-Cast Your Value
Maximize happiness now while positioning yourself for your future
Meg unflinchingly sees things. For most people, seeing and creating a path forward is something we practice and aspire to. For Meg, it’s a superpower. She sees opportunities, business needs, and most importantly she sees people. For me personally-she saw me. When I felt invisible, she saw me, advocated for and mentored me, and helped me reimagine myself.
The “My Perfect Day Exercise” came amid that invisible period, with Meg sharing her Perfect Day personal and family practices and asking me to define my perfect day. I am deeply introverted and candidly responded with something completely inane.
Meg sent me off to dig deeper. First, I worked through my personal perfect day and then extended the conversation to my husband where we reimagined our perfect days both separately and together. Finally, I shared my perfect day with Meg, and she helped me learn how to embrace and build the vision that put us on the path to implementing it.
It has been about a decade since that first conversation. Since that initial reimagining.
Today, we have a small business called Perfect Day Properties that spawned from our original perfect day. We have a philosophy that we will be having a different conversation in six months as we rethink our Perfect Day based on where we are at the time and what we aspire to for the future.
We are also dreaming of and building toward our future Perfect Day. Multiple business ideas are in motion, with websites reserved, including Perfect Day Farms and Perfect Day Events. Seeing the theme? Feeling the impact?
Meg’s original question-How do you define your perfect day? -has been so profoundly impactful in my life that it’s at the core of my family now. I am so excited that others will learn these philosophies and have the chance to implement these practices themselves. Be prepared to be seen-by yourself and by Meg. It’s wildly uncomfortable, but singularly enlightening, impactful, and inspiring. Hold on tight!
